Abstract
Peragai Village is a village in the South Merapi District, Lahat Regency, which is also experiencing significant population growth which has an impact on increasing the need for clean water. The problem experienced by the people of Wargai Village is the lack of clean water. So there needs to be a planning effort to increase the capacity of the clean water production intake tank to meet the water needs of the residents of Perangai Village, whose raw water source comes from the hills. Data collection was obtained from BPS (Central Statistics Agency). The data used is data on population and area. Then the data is analyzed using arithmetic and geometric methods. Based on research results, the need for clean water from the calculation of the projected population in 2024 is 1,116 liters/second. While the projected amount of water demand in 2028 is 1,395 liters/second, the current availability of clean water cannot meet the demand until 2028. The capacity of the intake tank required to meet clean water needs until 2028 is 144,633 m3, while the size of the intake tank currently available only has a capacity of 25 m3, so it is planned to remake the intake tank to meet clean water needs with a capacity of 200 mᶾ. So the planned intake tank can meet the clean water needs in Perangai Village, South Merapi District, Lahat Regency until 2028. Keywords: Perangai Village, Intake Tank Capacity, Clean Water Needs
