Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of rubber farmers and collectors and to determine the level of satisfaction of rubber farmers with collectors in Karya Jaya Village, Mesuji Makmur District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The method used in this study was a survey method. The sampling method used was the simple random sampling method and snowball sampling. The data processing method used editing, coding, tabulating and data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) analysis. The results showed that the social characteristics of rubber farmers and collectors consisted of age in the productive category of 15-65 years, relatively low education levels, mostly elementary school graduates, length of farming in the experienced category with an average of more than 10 years and the number of family dependents was relatively small, an average of 1-3 people. The economic characteristics of rubber farmers include small to medium-scale land area of 0.5-2 ha, self-owned land ownership status, medium or medium production yields averaging 200-300 kg, income in the medium category of IDR 3.000.000-4.000.000, the distance from home to the garden in the category is quite close with an average of 2-3 km, the distance from the garden to the sales place is relatively moderate, namely 2-3 km. While the economic characteristics of collecting traders include land area with a large category of more than 2 ha, the majority of business ownership status is partnerships, bokar results in a relatively high category, income in a relatively low category of less than IDR 6.000.000. The level of satisfaction of rubber farmers with collecting traders in Karya Jaya Village, Mesuji Makmur District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method shows that it is in the "Satisfied" category with a value of 73,24%.
