Abstract

Road performance is a quantitative indicator that reflects the operational condition of a road segment. On the Mayor Zen – Taqwa Mata Merah Road segment, the land along the roadside is used for commercial purposes, leading to increased traffic volume and roadside activities. These activities include vehicles stopping (for parking or picking up/dropping off passengers), pedestrians crossing, slow-moving vehicles, and vehicles entering or exiting from the roadside—all of which affect traffic performance. This study aims to analyze the traffic performance based on the 2023 Indonesian Highway Capacity Guidelines (PKJI 2023). The collected data includes road geometry, side friction events, traffic volume, and vehicle speed, with observations conducted during peak hours over seven days. The analysis results show the highest travel speed recorded was 45.32 km/h, with a road capacity of 6,580 pcu/hour and the highest degree of saturation at 0.80. Overall, the Level of Service (LOS) of the road segment ranges from B,C,D,, with degrees of saturation between 0.54 and 0,83. Keywords: Road capacity, degree of saturation, speed
