Abstract

Zone of Safety and Security (ZOSS) is a concept that aims to create a safe area for individuals and valuable assets within a certain environment. ZOSS relies on the integration of physical security systems, surveillance technology, and area users' awareness and adherence to safety protocols. The recommendations generated in this research can be a reference in designing optimal ZOSS for various environments, including public facilities, industrial areas, and transportation areas. The purpose of this research is to analyze the needs of Zoss based on potential threat factors, the effectiveness of security policies, and the readiness of supporting infrastructure and technology on Jalan Padat Karya Gunung Ibul, Front of Sd Negeri 56 East Prabumulih Kec, Prabumulih City, South Sumatra. Based on the results of the analysis and calculation of the Zoss needs factor on Jalan Padat Karya, Gunung Ibul, Depan Sd Negeri 56 Kec Prabumulih Timur, Prabumulih City, South Sumatra, it can be concluded that the existing Zoss needs in front of Sd Negeri 56 the application of Zoss not only increases physical protection, but also builds a more efficient security system, especially in the transportation sector, education and public facilities. In addition, warning signs need to be installed around the school area, so that motorists can reduce speed when approaching the school.
