Abstract

ABSTRACT Parking is a place for stopping vehicles in the short or long term, according to the needs of the driver, parking is one of the most important elements of transportation infrastructure, Parking conditions at the Alang-Alang Lebar market The city of Palembang is still ineffective and there are still many market visitors who park their vehicles carelessly out of place and cause chaos, therefore it is necessary to arrange parking patterns so that they are neatly arranged so that visitors can park on land that has been provided by the market in an orderly manner. This is the background of the author to conduct this research. This study is intended to analyze the arrangement of parking patterns in Alang - Alang Lebar Market, Palembang City. The purpose of this parking arrangement pattern analysis is to find out the effective parking pattern to be applied in the Alang - Alang Lebar Market, Palembang City.The method applied in this research is to conduct a direct survey in the field, namely a survey to calculate incoming and outgoing vehicles to obtain vehicle data. From the vehicle data analysis was carried out to obtain the parking volume and parking accumulation. The analysis results obtained have the highest accumulation of four-wheeled vehicles of 98 vehicles and the highest two-wheeled vehicles of 195 vehicles while the highest parking volume for four-wheeled vehicles is 240 vehicles and the highest two-wheeled vehicles is 431 vehicles. Judging from the characteristics of the parking lot, so that the existing parking lot is sufficient to accommodate the number of vehicles currently parked. The recommended parking pattern for 2-wheeled vehicles is an angle of 90° and the parking pattern for 4-wheeled vehicles is an angle of 90° and an angle of 30°. Keywords: Parking, Vehicle, Market
