Abstract

ABSTRAK Air Susu Ibu (ASI) adalah cairan hasil sekresi kelenjar payudara ibu. ASI eksklusif adalah air susu ibu yang diberikan kepada bayi sejak dilahirkan selama enam bulan, tanpa menambahkan atau mengganti dengan makanan atau minuman lain. Pemberian ASI eksklusif dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, antara lain; predisposing factors seperti usia, pendidikan, pengetahuan, sikap, peran nilai adat atau budaya. Enabling factors yaitu pendapatan keluarga, ketersediaan waktu dan kesehatan ibu. Reinforcement factors meliputi dukungan keluarga dan dukungan petugas kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan, sikap dan peran ibu terhadap efektivitas pemberian ASI ekslusif di Kecamatan Bingin Kuning Kabupaten Lebong Provinsi Bengkulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observational analitik dengan desain cross sectional study. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu yang ada di kecamatan Bingin Kuning kabupaten Lebong provinsi Bengkulu dengan teknik pengambilan sampel total sampling. Sampel yang didapatkan yaitu 34 responden. Hasil uji chi-square didapatkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan ibu dengan pemberian ASI ekslusif (p value 0,03), terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara sikap dengan pemberian ASI ekslusif (p value 0,001) dan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara peran ibu dengan pemberian ASI ekslusif (p value 0,07). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan, sikap dan peran ibu terhadap pemberian ASI eksklusif di Kecamatan Bingin Kuning, Kabupaten Lebong Provinsi Bengkulu. Exclusive breastfeeding is breast milk that is given to babies from birth to six months, without adding or replacing it with other foods or drinks. Exclusive breastfeeding can be influenced by several factors, including; predisposing factors, such as age, education, knowledge, attitudes, the role of traditional or cultural values. Enabling factors are family income, time availability, and maternal health. Reinforcement factors include family support and support from health workers. This study was aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and mother's role on the effectiveness of exclusive breastfeeding in Bingin Kuning District, Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province. This study was an analytical observational method with cross sectional design. Population of this study were all mothers in Bingin Kuning sub-district Lebong district Bengkulu province with total sampling technique. The sample obtained were 34 respondents. The data was analyzed using bivariate analysis. Statistical test results using Chi-Square test showed there was significant relationship between mother’s knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding (p value 0.03), there was significant relationship between attitude and exclusive breastfeeding (p value 0.001) and there was significant relationship between the mother's role and exclusive breastfeeding (p value 0.07). It can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge, attitudes and mother's role on exclusive breastfeeding in Bingin Kuning District, Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province.
