Abstract

ABSTRAK The use of private transportation in the city of Palembang needs to be reduced to overcome congestion problems, one of which is by using public transportation when traveling. There are three types of public transportation in Palembang, namely conventional public transportation, modern public transportation and online transportation. The choice of public transportation can be influenced by several criteria, namely the criteria for safety, comfort, cost, time, and convenience. This research is expected to be useful to determine the criteria that affect users of public transportation modes in the city of Palembang, as well as to know what public transportation is chosen based on predetermined criteria. The results of the survey and the results of data processing using the Analytical Hierarchy Process method show that the cost criteria are a priority for the people of Palembang city in traveling with a weight value of 28%, 24% time criteria, 20% comfort criteria, 17% safe criteria and 12% convenience criteria. . Based on the specified criteria, online public transportation is a priority for the community in choosing a mode of public transportation with a weight of 52% and conventional, modern public transportation 48%. From this study also obtained alternative sub-results where on online transportation, maxim 41%, grab 31%, gojek 28%, for conventional and modern transportation people prioritize city transportation 40%, light rail transit 31% and trans musi buses 29%.
