Abstract

Abstract According to UU RI pasal 1 No. 22 of 2009 acident is an event on the highway is unexpected and unintended in volving vehicles with or without other road users which resulted in human casualties of property loss. Accident is always contain unintended and unexpected factor and can make effect shocked, curious, and traumafor those who suffered the accident. Accident analysis intend to determine, analyze the data and determine area prone to traffic accident ( black site ) roads. Along the roads in the prabumulih district frequent accident, therefore this thesis will discuss the prone areas accident is often the case in prabumulih district. The purpose is to determine the location of the critical points of a traffic accident ( black spots ) on the roads that are classified as black site in prabumulih district. And may provide an alternative treatment at the point of the accident-prone locations ( black spots ) to reduce the number of accidents in prabumulih district. The results of the survey location and data processing can be concluded that the location has a relatively high number of accident there four sections of the road there is road that hasthe highest accident rate is prabumulih street baturaja road which is identified as a region prone to accidents ( black site ), and the district of road basuki rahmat defined as an accident-prone points ( black spots ). Based on data processing and directly survey in the field, the location indentified as accident-prone points (black spots ) got the attention of the department of transportation prabumulih to get more attention observe traffic rules in order to minimize the number of accidents
