Abstract

ABSTRACT Asphalt Concrete – Wearing Course Is the topmost pavement layer and serves as a wear layer. Although non-structural, AC – WC can add pavement- resistant force to the quality degradation so as to increase overall service life from pavement construction. Based on the result of Marshall research and testing with Asphalt content of 5%, 5,5%, 6%, 6,5% and 7%. Optimum Asphalt content of 6,2%. In this research filler in the use is Gypsum powder. Based on the result of the test, characteristic performance on the optimum proportion of concrete asphalt 6,2% was showed Marshall stability989kg, Flow 3,73mm, VMA (Void In Mineral Agregate) 16,64%, VIM (Void In MIx) 3,54%, VFB 78,80%, Desnsity 2,249 t/m3. Key Words: Asphalt, Marshall Test, AC – WC Gypsum Powder as Filler
