Abstract
DESI MARLINA. Effect of Soil though System and Type of Organic Fertilizer on Growth and Production of Sweet Corn (Zea Mays saccharataSturt) (Supervised by GUSMIATUN and NENI MARLINA). The purpose of this study was to determine and study the effect of soil processing systems and types of organic fertilizers that are appropriate in increasing the growth and production of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharataSturt). This research has been carried out in the farmer's farm located in Hamlet 2 PrajenBanyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. Research time is from December 2018 until February 2019. The research method used is the field experiment method. The design used was a split-plot design with 9 treatment combinations and 3 replications. The treatments referred to are as follows: Main Map, Soil treatment system (O), O1: No Tillage, O2: Minimum Tillage, O3: Maximum Tillage. Children Map, Organic Fertilizer Type (P), P1: Bioripah Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC), P2: Cow Manure Organic Fertilizer, P3: Chicken Manure Organic Fertilizer The observed changes are 1. Plant Height (cm), 2. Number of leaves ( strands), 3. Cob Tack Length (cm), 4. Cob Tuna Diameter (cm), and 5. Crop Tack Weight (g), 6. Trimmed Dry Weight (g), 7. Printing Production (kg). Based on the results of the diversity analysis in Table 3 shows that the treatment of the tillage system has a very significant effect on the number of leaves, cob length and production per plot, but has no significant effect on the other observed variables. The treatment of organic fertilizer has a significant effect on the number of leaves, ear length and ear diameter, but no significant effect on other observed variables.The combination of a minimum soil treatment system with the use of organic fertilizer for chicken manure is the best treatment combination, because this combination results in better growth and production in sweet corn compared to other treatment combinations. This can be seen from the better average value for each observed variable, such as: plant height (167,909 cm), number of leaves (12.60 strands), cob length (13.47 cm), ear diameter (3.83cm) ), cob weight (170.40 g), production per plot (4.13 kg), and dry weight (70.40 g).
