Abstract

This study aims to determine the response of growth and production of onion plants (Allium ascalonicum L) to the dose of chicken manure fertilizer at the keyword: level of chemical fertilization in tidal fields. This research has been carried out in the land of farmers located in the village karang Rejo RT 8a No 04, kecamatan kapan kabupaten Musi Banyuasin. held in May-July 2019. The research method used was a split plot design with 9 treatment combinations that were repeated in 3 replications to obtain 27 plots and 5 sample plants as treatments. The main plot is the distribution of chicken manure (A) consisting of A1 = (5 tons/ha), A2 = (10 tons/ha), A3 = 15 tons/ha) and the treatment of subplots is the application of chemical fertilizer at the level of chemical fertilization (P) consisting of P0 = without chemical fertilizer, P1 = 25% (urea: 50 kg/ha, KCl: 50 kg/ha, SP-36: 75 kg/ha), P2 = 50% (urea: 100 kg/ha , KCl: 100 kg/ha, SP-36: 150 kg/ha), P3 = 75% (urea: 150 kg/ha, KCl: 150kg/ha, SP-36: 225 kg/ha). Observing variables in this study include: 1) plant height (cm), 2) number of leaves (strands), 3) number of tillers per clump, 4) tuber weight per clump (g), 5) tuber weight per plot (kg).Interaction treatment between the dosage of chicken manure 15 tons / ha and 75% of chemical fertilizers had the best effect on the height of shallots and the highest onion production of 2.14 kg / plot. keyword: Shallots,fertilizer for chicken manure and tidal land
