Abstract

The objective of this research were to find out the amount of income earned by lebak paddy farmers who work on rice and cayenne plants in the Mariana Vilaage Banyuasin I District Banyuasin Regency and to find out the farming activities in the lebak paddy fields in the Mariana Village Banyuasin I District Banyuasin Regency are optimal when viewed from the amount of revenue. This research was conducted at the of Mariana Village Banyuasin I District Banyuasin Regency in April until June 2019. Method study is a survey method. While the sampling method used is Simple Random (Simple Random Sampling) with a population member as many 170 farmer, then sample in as many as research 20% from population member that many as 34 example farmers. Data collection methods used were quesioner, observation and interview. The data processing method used is editing and tabulating. Data collected consist of primary data and secondary data and data analysis used is quantitative descriptive. To determine the amount of income used farming income analysis and to optimize land in farming activities using Linear Programming methods with softwere tools LINDO. The result showed that the average amount of income in rice farming activities in the Mariana Village was Rp770.623/ha/MT and the results showed that the average amount of income in the activities of cayenne pepper farming in the Mariana Village was Rp4.482.500,9/ha/MT. Furthermore, farming activities in lebak paddy fields in the Mariana Village Banyuasin I District Banyuasin Regency not optimal, based on the recommendations it is recommended that one hectare of land is only for chili farming, so that the optimum income obtained is Rp4.482.500,9/ha/MT. keywords: Income, paddy and cayenne pepper
