Abstract

ABSTRAC Putri Andam Dewi / 212015105 / The Advertising Effecyiveness of Muhammadiyah University Palembang / Marketing Management The formulation of the problem in this study was whether effective UMP billboards advertisements, UMP brochure advertisements, UMP newspaper advertisements, and UMP radio advertisements. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of UMP billboards, UMP brochure advertisements, UMP newspaper advertisements, and UMP radio advertisements. The type of this research was descriptive. The sample of this study was 245 students in 2018 from all faculties in Muhammadiyah University. This used cluster sampling techniques. The data used in this study were primary data and secondary data, methods of collecting data were questionnaires and supporters. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis (qualitative) and inference analysis (quantitave), with the analysis technique of proportion hypothesis testing. The result of the tests that had been carried out from this study indicated that Muhammadiyah University advertisements did not all prove effective, judging from the four advertising media reviewed, namely : Billboards ads proved effetive with the result of the hypothesis test Z0 = 11.43 > Z0,1 = 1,28, Brochure advertising proved effectie with the result of hypothesis test Z0 = 11,56 > Z0,1 = 1,28, Newspaper advertising proved to be ineffectie with the result of the hypohesis test Z0 = 0,63 ≤ Z0,1 = 1,28, Radio ads proved to be ineffectie with the result of the hypothesis test Z0 = 0,65 ≤ Z0,1 = 1,28 Keywords : Advertising Effectiveness ABSTRAK Putri Andam Dewi / 21 2015 105 / Efektifitas Iklan Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang/Manajemen Pemasaran Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah iklan balliho UMP , iklan brosur UMP, iklan koran UMP, dan iklan radio UMP efektif . Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas iklan balliho UMP, iklan brosur UMP, iklan koran UMP, dan iklan radio UMP. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa UMP angkatan 2018 sebanyak 245 orang dari seluruh Fakultas yang ada di lingkungan UMP, dengan teknik sampling cluster sampling. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder . Metode pengumpulan data melalui kuisioner dan pendukung. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan analisis deskriptif (kualitatif) dan analisis inferensi (kuantitatif) , dengan teknik analisis uji hipotesis proporsi. Hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan dari penelitian ini menunjukan Iklan Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang tidak semua terbukti efektif, dilihat dari empat media iklan yang ditinjau, yaitu : Iklan Balliho terbukti efektif dengan hasil uji hipotesis Z0 = 11,43 > Z0,1 = 1,28, Iklan Brosur terbukti efektif dengan hasil uji hipotesis Z0 = 11,56 > Z0,1 = 1,28, Iklan Koran terbukti tidak efektif dengan hasil uji hipotesis Z0 = 0,63 ≤ Z0,1 = 1,28, Iklan Radio terbukti tidak efektif dengan hasil uji hipotesis Z0 = 0,65 ≤ Z0,1 = 1,28.
