Abstract

ABSTRACT Jalan Alamsyah Ratu Prawiranegara Palembang based on its function, namely arterial class III A road, public road that serves main transportation, where the road has 2 lane and 4 lane road types (4/2 D), with 7.10 m and 3 lane widths, 05 m on each lane. Jalan Alamsyah Ratu Prawiranegara has a function as a liaison between the road of Maj. Gen. Yusuf Singedekane to the Soekarno Hatta road and also as a liaison to the Paramesuara road Congestion on Jalan Alamsyah Ratu Prawiranegara is caused by high volumes of vehicles, and also because many trucks that cross either medium trucks or large trucks, besides that, congestion also occurs due to intersections of vehicles turning around and going in and out of new hill roads. Based on the analysis on Jalan Alamsyah Ratu Prawiranegara Palembang, the factors that cause congestion in the flow of traffic are the large number of large trucks that pass in the afternoon, and the intersection where the vehicle reverses direction. And on this road the calculation of road capacity has a capacity of 1653 pcu / hour. As well as from the results of the data obtained, in the span of 2014 to 2019 there was an increase in traffic volume on Jalan Alamsyah Ratu Prawiranegara on Monday, May 29 2019 amounting to 54.23% Keywords: Jalan Alamsyah Ratu Prawiranegara, congestion, analysis
