Abstract

The ability of students to understand biology subject matter delivered by teachers is different for each individual, therefore a learning model that is appropriate for use in certain classes and conditions is needed. Small group discussion methods commonly used by teachers have not been able to improve learning activities and learning achievement to the fullest. This is evidenced by the low activity of students in group discussions. Discussion is dominated by only certain students. Learning achievement are also like that, it can be seen that the results of the correct answers on the questions about the Genetic Material in first try out is 40, 28%, second try out is 64.18% and in the USBN questions 2018 is 40.12% is still under the KKM of the school which is 75. One of any solutions that can be done immediately is through PTK, by implementing cooperative learning NHT type, assisted Moodle application. The research instruments used were tests and observations. The activities of students has increased after the action, the observations results of pre-action that shows the average value of activity indicator of 2.99 (scale 5), in the first cycle it improvement to 3.49 and in the second cycle improve to 3.71. Achievement test of first cycle also showed an improvement marked by an improvement in classical completeness from the pre-action achievement of 20.83 to 70.83%. In second cycle it increased to 78.36% and it reached the minimum limit in the success indicators of the action. This shows that the activities and learning achievement of students improved in each cycle. Keywords: Learning Activities, Learnig Achievement, Numbered Heads Together.
