Abstract

Vesic Method (1977) is one method or method used to support carrying capacity of pile foundations. But if it is calculated manually, it will be more difficult and feels more time consuming, while to calculate the carrying capacity of the foundation in a practical, fast and correct, it is very necessary to accelerate a job. Determining the efficiency of the variations that the researcher made in this study, or which could be the choice / substitute for group foundation in the control room project on the elevated Island LPG tank construction project located at Jalan Selatan No 1 RT 014 RW 008 variations that have a carrying capacity greater than the existing carrying capacity (Square pile 25 x 25 cm). The method used in this study is manual calculation using the vesic method (1977) and the vesic method with allpile software The results of this study the carrying capacity of group piles in the F1 point control room by manual vesic method obtained 1072.91 kN and allpile software 1096.83 kN, and after varying with different pile sizes using allpile software obtained the most efficient if used to replace the group foundation in the F1 point control room is a variation of 20 x 20 cm with a depth of 6 meters with carrying capacity of 1176 kN and volume of 1.856 m3.
