Abstract
ABSTRACK Fiber-reinforced concrete is a composite material that consists of ordinary concrete and other materials in the form of fibers. Fibers in this concrete prevents cracks making the concrete more ductile than biasa.Maka concrete with the addition of fiber wire into the concrete to overcome the unfavorable properties of concrete. The basic idea is to provide a fiber addition of fiber reinforcement in concrete evenly distributed randomly (random) to prevent cracks that occur due to loading. In this research piece of steel wire with a diameter of 0.3 mm and a length of 50mm were added into the concrete mix percentage variation adding 6%, 8%, 10% of the weight of the cement with a cube-shaped test piece (15 cm x 15 cm x 15 cm) , In the concrete mix with additional pieces of steel wire 10% have the characteristic concrete compressive strength higher at 433.73 kg / cm2 In the concrete age of 28 days. While the compressive strength of normal concrete is 412.78 kg / cm2, in addition wire 6% increase in the value of 420.9 kg / cm2, the addition of wire 8% increase in compressive strength value of 428.24 kg / cm2.
