Abstract
RSUD Sultan Thaha Saifuddin in Tebo Regency, as a primary referral hospital, requires an adequate supply of clean water to support medical services, sanitation, and the needs of staff, patients, and visitors. The availability of sufficient clean water is a crucial factor in ensuring smooth hospital operations. Based on the study, clean water demand was calculated from the number of inpatients, staff, and supporting facilities such as toilets, washbasins, as well as outpatients. The results show that the water demand for 155 hospital beds is 46,500 liters per day, while the demand for staff is 54,600 liters per day. The total water demand reaches 117,600 liters per day or 118 m³ per day, and can increase to 148,000 liters per day or 148 m³ per day under maximum conditions. Meanwhile, the available clean water supply from the local water utility (PDAM) is 98,000 liters per day or 98 m³ per day, which only fulfills approximately 64.86% of the total demand, leaving a deficit of 35.14%. The hospital’s clean water source is supplied by PDAM and stored in a ground tank before being distributed throughout the building. However, the current water capacity is insufficient, particularly during peak usage periods. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the capacity of the reservoir or ground tank, as well as to improve the water supply from PDAM to adequately meet the hospital’s clean water demand.
