Abstract

This study investigates the types of code-mixing used by Cinta Laura and Natasha Wilona in the Bicara Cinta video entitled “Belajar Bekerja Lebih Keras Saat Gak Punya Privilege” on the Paraswara YouTube Channel. This research was conducted by a descriptive qualitative method. The primary data were obtained from the utterances produced by both speakers, while supporting information was collected from relevant books, journals, and previous studies. The data were collected through documentation by watching and listening to the video repeatedly, transcribing utterances containing code-mixing, identifying relevant data, and classifying according to their types. The analysis was based on Hoffman's theory, which classifies code-mixing into three types: intra-sentential code-mixing, intra-lexical codemixing, and code-mixing involving a change of pronunciation. The findings revealed 59 utterances containing code-mixing. Among these data, 52 utterances were categorized as intra-sentential code-mixing, while 7 utterances were classified as intra-lexical code-mixing. No data involved a change of pronunciation. Intra-sentential code-mixing was the dominant type, reflecting bilingual communication
