Abstract

ABSTRACT The construction industry has a high level of complexity, requiring an information system that can support data integration, communication, coordination, and fast and accurate decision-making processes. One of the systems used to support project management is Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). In the Palembang–Betung Toll Road Construction Project Section I Palembang–Rengas, an SAP-based ERP system has been implemented to support various project activities; however, several challenges remain in its utilization. This study aims to analyze the level of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Information System utilization, the effectiveness level of project construction management, and the effect of ERP utilization on construction project management in the Palembang–Betung Toll Road Construction Project Section I Palembang–Rengas. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method through questionnaires distributed to respondents involved in project implementation and management. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression analysis with the assistance of IBM SPSS. The results showed that the utilization level of the ERP Information System was considered good, and the effectiveness level of construction project management was also considered good. The simple linear regression analysis revealed a correlation coefficient (R) value of 0.767, indicating a strong relationship between ERP utilization and construction project management. The significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 indicates that ERP utilization has a positive and significant effect on construction project management. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.588 indicates that ERP utilization explains 58.8% of the variation in construction project management, while the remaining 41.2% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. Therefore, the more optimal the utilization of ERP in information integration, data delivery, interdepartmental coordination, resource control, and decision-making processes, the better the effectiveness of construction project management will be. Keywords: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), communication information system, construction management, toll road project, effectiveness.
