Abstract

STUDI AKTIVITAS PENANGKARAN BENIH PADI BERSERTIFIKAT PADA KELOMPOK USAHA BERSAMA AGRIBISNIS (KUBA) MAJU BERSAMA DI DESA SAKO KECAMATAN RAMBUTAN KABUPATEN BANYUASIN Khaidir Sobri¹, Rahmat Kurniawan¹, Kemas Edwin Ryatamim² ¹Dosen Agribisnis, ²Mahasiswa Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the rice seed production subsystem, describe the activities of rice seed distribution, and find out how much profit KUBA MajuBersama inSako Village Rambutan District get from Banyuasin District. The study was conducted in KUBA MajuBersamainSako Village, Rambutan Sub-District from June to September 2018. The research method used was a case study. For sampling method used purposive sampling method (intentionally). Data collection methods used in this study were observations and interviews with respondents who had been determined using questionnaire tools that had been prepared in advance. Data processing methods use editing, coding and tabulating and data analysis using descriptive-qualitative methods. The results of the study indicate that certified rice seed production carried out by KUBA Maju Bersama includes 5 stages. The purpose of grading is to separate seeds from dirt (soil, straw and rice leaves being carried away) as well as to remove empty seeds. The purpose of grading is to get uniform seeds in the size of the seeds (length, width, thickness), shape or specific gravity of the seeds. Seed treatment (sees treatment) is to determine genetic quality, physiological quality, and physical quality of seeds. The packaging is done while waiting for the laboratory results and labels to be printed. Storage has several rules that are useful for maintaining and maintaining the quality and quality of these seeds. From the results of the study, there were 3 channels of certified rice seed distribution conducted by KUBA Maju Bersama, where the distribution of certified rice seeds to distributors with a percentage of 64.79%, to wholesalers by 25.47% and to farmers at 9.74% at 1 production period in 2017. KUBA Maju Bersama gets a profit of Rp. 42,965,036 where the profit was obtained from 154,595 kg of prospective seeds sold as certified rice seeds and 7,495 kg of prospective seeds sold as rice in 1 production period in 2017. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui subsistem produksi benih padi, mendeskripsikan aktivitas pendistribusian benih padi, dan mengetahui berapa besar keuntungan yang didapatkan KUBA Maju Bersama Desa Sako Kecamatan Rambutan Kabupaten Banyuasin. Penelitian dilaksanakan di KUBA Maju Bersama Desa Sako Kecamatan Rambutan pada bulan Juni sampai dengan September 2018. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus (case study). Untuk metode penarikan contoh digunakan metode purposive sampling (secara sengaja). Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan wawancara dengan responden yang telah ditentukan dengan menggunakan alat bantu kuisioner yang telah dipersiapkan sebelumnya. Metode pengolahan data menggunakan editing, coding dan tabulating serta analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Produksi benih padi bersertifikat yang dilakukan oleh KUBA Maju Bersama meliputi 5 tahapan. Tujuan pembersihan (grading) adalah untuk memisahkan benih dari kotoran (tanah, jerami dan daun padi yang terbawa) juga untuk membuang benih hampa. Tujuan dari pemilahan (grading) adalah untuk mendapatkan benih yang seragam dalam ukuran benih (panjang, lebar, ketebalan), bentuk atau berat jenis benihnya. Perlakuan benih (sees treatment) adalah untuk mengetahui mutu genetis, mutu fisiologis, dan mutu fisik benih. Pengemasan dilakukan sementara menunggu hasil laboratorium dan label selesai dicetak. Penyimpanan memiliki beberapa peraturan yang berguna untuk menjaga dan mempertahankan kualitas dan mutu benih tersebut. 1. Dari hasil penelitian dapat 3 saluran pendistribusian benih padi bersertifikat yang dilakukan oleh KUBA Maju Bersama, dimana pendistribusian benih padi bersertifikat tersebut ke distributor dengan presentase sebesar 64,79%, ke pedagang besar sebesar 25,47% dan ke petani sebesar 9,74% pada 1 periode produksi di tahun 2017. KUBA Maju Bersama memperoleh keuntungan sebesar Rp. 42.965.036 dimana keuntungan tersebut diperoleh dari 154.595 kg calon benih tersebut terjual sebagai benih padi bersertifikat dan 7.495 kg calon benih terjual sebagai beras pada 1 periode produksi di tahun 2017.
