Abstract
This study analyzes the performance of the unsignalized three-leg intersection at Mayjen Yusuf Singedekane Street – Mayor Jend. Satibi Darwis Street, Palembang City, using the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (PKJI) 2023. The main objective is to evaluate the capacity, degree of saturation (DS), delay, and queue probability (PA) to determine the intersection’s performance. The research employs a quantitative method, with primary data collected from field observations and video recordings conducted over three days between 06.00–18.00 WIB. The data were analyzed using PKJI 2023 procedures, including capacity calculation, environmental adjustment factors, and performance evaluation indicators. The results indicate that the intersection operates with a degree of saturation near its capacity (DS = 0.85), a queue probability between 50–80%, and an average delay of 14.9 seconds per vehicle. According to PKJI 2023 standards, this corresponds to a moderately congested but stable condition (LOS C–D). Overall, the intersection’s performance is considered satisfactory, though ongoing monitoring and minor traffic engineering adjustments are recommended to prevent congestion in the future.
