Abstract
Rapid development leads to lack of green open space resulting in a lack of rainwater absorption into the ground and increasing surface flow. To overcome these problems, it can be applying biopore infiltration hole system, the purpose is to determine the effect of biopore infiltration holes on infiltration and runoff at the place to be applied and how much the biopore infiltration hole can reduce drainage load. In this study as a case study, the researcher took the location at Meranjat Raya street, Amal alley, Palembang, the data that has been collected is then processed and re-analyzed. The analytical method used to obtain the data is Harton method, besides that the rainfall intensity data will also be searched, using the Normal Distribution method, Log-Normal, Person-III Log and Gumbel. Then drainage capacity is calculated, also the ideal number of biopore infiltration holes in the research location. Based on the research, the largest infiltration rate value between the 3 determined regions is in L1 region, with infiltration rate before biopore infiltration hole is 8.2 cm/hour, while the infiltration rate after biopore infiltration hole is 20.2 cm/ hour. Based on analyzing data, ideal number of biopore infiltration holes for an area of 9029 m2 and green open space of 1618.12 m2 is 810 pieces reducing drainage loads 10.9%, area of 6292 m2 and green open space 2134, 37 m2 is 1068 pieces reducing drainage load 17.2%, area of 23932 m2 and green open space 11367.54 m2 is 5684 pieces reducing drainage load 53.7%. Keywords: biopore infiltration hole, infiltation, runoff
