Abstract

Jalan Kolonel H. Burlian in Palembang City is identified as a flood-prone area due to land use changes and insufficient drainage capacity. This research aims to analyze rainfall, flood discharge, and design infiltration wells (sumur resapan) to mitigate surface runoff and reduce flood risk. Rainfall data obtained from BMKG were analyzed using the Gumbel distribution with return periods of 5 to 50 years. The analysis found a maximum rainfall intensity of 183.569 mm for a 50-year return period, which produced flood discharges that exceeded the drainage capacity. Using the Sunjoto method, five infiltration wells with a diameter of 0.5 m and a depth of 2.1 m were designed to absorb excess runoff. The construction cost of the wells, based on the 2024 unit price analysis (AHSP) of Palembang City, is estimated at Rp17,434,388.17. The study concludes that infiltration wells offer an effective and environmentally friendly solution for flood mitigation in the study area.
