Abstract

Transportation is a crucial and strategic means of facilitating the movement of public goods. The intersection of the main highway divides the road into four directions: the main highway to Lahat, the main highway to Palembang, the main highway to Jalan SLR Houling Road, and the main highway to Jalan PT. Servo Lintas Raya. This intersection of four main highways does not have traffic lights to regulate the movement of vehicles, allowing them to move alternately and avoid interfering with each other. This road performance analysis uses the 2023 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI). The required primary data includes road geometry, traffic density figures, traffic volume surveys, environmental conditions, and side obstacles. Secondary data consists of daily traffic data. Based on the results of the research data processing, the highest vehicle volume occurs on Saturday afternoons between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time), at 2,150 pcu/hour. The delay value is 15.1 sec/pcu. The best conditions were obtained through optimization efforts by widening the road, adding traffic signs and road medians
