Abstract
The purpose of this research is to examine the supply chain strategy of UMKM Kopi Cap Bukit Jempol Lahat in fulfilling market demand in Kelurahan Lahat Tengah, Kabupaten Lahat. The research employs a descriptive-qualitative method. The sampling technique used is non-probability with purposive sampling, targeting the UMKM owner and partnered farmers, with a total of five respondents. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data processing involved data condensation, data presentation, as well as drawing and describing conclusions, while the analysis technique applied was descriptive qualitative analysis. The findings reveal that the supply chain strategy implemented by UMKM Kopi Cap Bukit Jempol Lahat is effective in maintaining product quality, ensuring smooth distribution, and strengthening partnerships with farmers. These strategies are reflected in six main elements. (1). Facility Location: the UMKM is strategically located near the market, which simplifies distribution and reduces logistics costs.(2). Production System, is carried out semi-manually by combining make to stock and make to order methods, ensuring product consistency while adjusting capacity to market demand. (3). Inventory, management combines long-term storage of dried coffee beans from farmers with demand-based production, supported by digital recording systems to control raw materials and finished products more efficiently.(4). Transportation, distribution adopts a dual system, offline through retail and supermarkets, and online via marketplaces, thereby expanding market reach with more efficient delivery costs. (5). Supply, raw material supply is secured through direct partnerships with local farmers without intermediaries, guaranteeing raw material quality, price stability, and production sustainability. Furthermore, UMKM encourages environmentally friendly practices such as the use of organic fertilizers to support eco-labeling initiatives. (6). Product Development, continuous innovation is carried out by introducing product variations and new packaging designs, aligned with consumer trends and eco-friendly packaging, to strengthen market competitiveness.
