Abstract

The level of road service that occurs in the Gelumbang District area regarding the development carried out has a great influence on the movement of transportation that passes through the central road or the crossing that passes through the railroad tracks. This still needs to be considered, remember, the construction of a flyover on the Gelumbang District crossing road to Palembang is one of the means of transportation to reduce congestion and reduce the risk of accidents that occur due to the vulnerability of public vehicles and private vehicles which will have an impact on daily traffic movements and can cause an increase in the number of vehicle volumes. Analysis of the performance of existing roads in the Gelumbang District area was carried out using the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines Method (PKJI 2023) by collecting data directly and comparing it with previous studies in order to determine the traffic capacity, degree of saturation, level of road service and the value of side obstacles that have an impact on the road around the construction of the flyover. Based on the results of the study and data processing, it was concluded that a large accumulation of vehicles occurred on Wednesday, which amounted to = 22795 skr / hour and the calculation of traffic capacity resulted in the E saturated value being obtained on the Gelumbang District Palembang cross-Sumatra road.
