Abstract

Parking space and facilities are essential components of infrastructure, including at the Palembang City Health Office, which faces limitations in parking capacity. This condition causes difficulties for both employees and visitors in finding available parking spaces. This study aims to analyze parking space requirements and the utilization of parking areas at the Palembang City Health Office, in order to provide recommendations to balance parking demand with the available capacity. The research method includes literature review, preparatory work, and the collection of both secondary and primary data. Primary data were obtained through field surveys, covering the analysis of parking space requirements, measurement of parking lot dimensions, and recording of the number of vehicles. The results indicate that the available parking capacity for four-wheeled vehicles is only 2 parking slots, while the actual parking demand reaches 37 vehicles. Therefore, an additional 35 Standard Parking Units (SPU) are required for four-wheeled vehicles. Meanwhile, the parking facilities for two-wheeled vehicles are still sufficient to meet the demand.
