Abstract
An intersection is a point where traffic conflicts occur, representing a meeting point of the road network. This intersection often creates various traffic obstacles be cause it is where vehicles from different directions meet and change direction. The traffic volume that the network can accommodate is determined by the road network's capacity. Decreased intersection performance will result in various losses for road users due to reduced speeds, increased delays, and vehicle queues, which in turn in crease vehicle operating costs. The Kampak intersection is the intersection of Jalan Kampung Melayu and Jalan Fatmawati. The stages in the research include literature studies, preparatory work including data collection in the form of primary data and secondary data, data collection in the form of conducting surveys, then the data obtained is processed by referring to the 2023 PKJI guidelines (Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines), analyzing the results of calculations of actual capacity values, saturation degree values, intersection traffic delays, main traffic delays, intersection geometric delays, intersection delays, and queue opportunities which finally produce a conclusion.. From the results of research and discussion at the Kampak Intersection of Jalan Kampung Melayu – Jalan Fatmawati, the average width of the approach (FW) is 0.958 meters, the total Traffic Flow Volume (Qtot) is 3152.2 pcu/hour, the Actual Capacity (C) is 2483.3 pcu/hour, the Degree of Saturation (DJ) is 1.269, Intersection Traffic Delay (Dti) is 70.23 pcu/hour, the Main Traffic Delay (DTMA) is 31.53 sec/pcu, the intersection geometric delay (DG) is 4 sec/pcu, the intersection delay (D) is 74.23 sec/pcu and the queue opportunity (QP) is 92.46% upper limit and 66.15% lower limit. Based on the research and discussion, the performance of the Kampak Intersection has a service level of D.. Keywords: Unsignalized Intersection Capacity, Degree of Saturation, Delay, PKJI 2023 .
