Abstract

This study analyzed the level of road unevenness in Muara Pinang-Muara Payang Village, Empat Lawang Regency using the International Roughness Index (IRI) method based on the Roadbump Pro application on smartphones. The survey was carried out along 10.5 km with segments divided every 100 meters using a type SUV. The measurement data showed that most of the roads were in the severely damaged category with an average IRI value of 13–14. These results confirm that the condition of the road pavement at the research site requires serious attention for maintenance and improvement. The use of smartphone technology has proven to be effective and efficient in conducting road condition surveys, so that it can be an alternative method for measuring road unevenness in the future.
