Abstract
The demand for the provision and service of clean water continues to increase over time, often outpacing the capacity of existing services. This rising demand is driven by population growth, improvements in living standards, urban development, and various socio-economic advancements, all of which contribute to increased per capita water needs. Therefore, it is essential to forecast future clean water demand to determine whether the water resources at the Simpang Pedagan Service Unit in Muara Dua Subdistrict, South OKU Regency, can meet the needs of the surrounding community. This study utilizes data from PDAM Tirta Saka Selabung, Simpang Pedagan, and employs a quantitative descriptive method. The data analyzed includes the population of the Simpang Pedagan Service Unit, customer types, and the available water discharge from PDAM. The analysis indicates that the projected demand and availability of clean water in 2029 will reach 54.97 liters per second, reflecting the anticipated increase in the number of service connections. The maximum daily demand is estimated at 16.71 liters per second, with peak-hour consumption reaching 111.44 liters per second. In addition, the reservoir is expected to experience a capacity deficit of 1,194 m³, calculated based on household, governmental, educational, and commercial connections. The overall service coverage in 2029 is projected to remain at 23%. Keywords: Water Demand, Service Coverage, Reservoir Capacity
