Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of the tidal irrigation system in Telang Jaya Village, Muara Telang Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency. The assessment was carried out based on two main aspects: hydraulic efficiency and operational efficiency. The method used is a qualitative approach through field measurements, analysis of water discharge data using the Manning formula, and interviews with farmers. The results showed that hydraulic efficiency ranged from 42% to 58%, operational efficiency tended to be fair to poor, and operational efficiency tended to be fair to poor. These findings provide a real picture of the challenges and potential improvements for the irrigation system in tidal areas.
