Abstract
SUMMARY CIPTO DECCA WIJAYA.” Plankton Inventory in Fish Stomachs in the Kundur River, Mariana District, Banyuasin Regency” (Supervised by Elva Dwi Harmilia, S.Si., M.Si and Muhammad Nizar, S.Pi., M.Si). This study aims to identify the diversity, abundance, uniformity, and dominance of fish and plankton in the Kundur River, Banyuasin Regency. The survey was conducted at three different stations throughout January-March 2025, with sampling methods using umbrella traps, tangkul, and plankton-nets. The results of the studyfound 4 species of fish, namely Rasbora patrickyapi (marem), Rasbora argyrotaenia (seluang), Betta unimaculata (swamp/rice field cupang), and Anabas testudineus (betok), with the dominance of marem fish. For aquatic plankton, 158 individuals from 30 species and 21 families were found, dominated by Spirogyra sp. from the Chlorophyta division. Plankton in the stomach of the fish was also analyzed, showing the dominance of the same species. The diversity index (H') of plankton in the waters showed a moderate to high category, whilethe dominance index was low at most stations, indicating a relatively stable ecosystem condition. Water quality analysis revealed that temperature and dissolved oxygen were within normal ranges, but the water pH at some stations was very low (acidic), and ammonia levels tended to be high at certain stations
