Abstract

The development of Industrial Forest Plantations (HTI) has the main objective of producing timber quickly and sustainably to meet industrial needs. One of the HTIs in Indonesia in South Sumatra is PT Musi Hutan Persada (MHP). The purpose of this study was to analyze the growth of Eucalyptus pellita aged 1 to 5 years on soil class 3, the method used used used quantitative methods by collecting diameter data, tree height to calculate tree volume, and calculating the growth rate of Eucalyptus pellita tree species from the age of 1 to 5 years using the form factor volume formula, followed by how to analyze the physical properties of soil as a medium for plant growth. The total volume of Eucalyptus pellita in the sandy clay loam texture of Sungai Tuha block is 216.95 m3 with CAI 44.93 m3 /ha/yr and MAI 43.39 m3 /ha/yr while in Merbau 2 block the total volume is 259.34 m3 with CAI 45.27 m3 /ha/yr and MAI 47.15 m3/ha/yr. In the sandy loam texture the total volume is 233.75 m3 with a CAI value of 48.35 m3 / ha / year and MAI 46.75 m3 / ha / year. In the Silty clay texture, the total volume is 274.64 m3 with a CAI value of 33.45 m3 / ha / year and MAI of 44.67 m3 / ha / year. The result of these calculations is that the intersection of CAI and MAI is at the age of 5 and 5.5 years. soil texture is sandy clay loam located in Sungai Tuha and Merbau 2, Sandy clay texture is located in Merbau 1, and silty clay texture is located in Sungai Langit block.
