Abstract

Rainfed rice fields are rice fields that are planted with at least one rice crop per year with irrigation highly dependent on rain. During the rainy season, rice planting in rainfed rice fields can be done by flooding, but during the dry season, rice planting is not done by flooding due to the very limited water during the dry season. Rainfed rice fields are generally infertile (poor in nutrients), often experience drought, and farmers do not have sufficient capital. The results of this study found the following: Based on the description of the research results and discussion in the previous chapter, it can be concluded that rainfed rice fields in Rawa Jaya Village with a land area of 75 Ha for the amount of water availability for rice plants of 0.180 M3/sec and water requirements for rice plants of 0.507 M3/sec while the water availability for secondary crops is 0.109 M3/sec and water requirements for secondary crops are 0.107 M3/sec. This can be seen from the balance of water availability for rice fields with water requirements for rice fields. With the first season planting pattern (rice) carried out in April, second period - August, first period, and the second planting season (second crops) carried out in August, second period - November, first period. Keywords : Rainfed Rice Fields, Rainfall, Water Availability.
