Abstract

A hospital is a service institution in the health sector with preventive (prevention), curative (treatment), rehabilitative and promotive fields. In carrying out health service activities, the hospital requires materials, energy, air, air, power and gas. Hospitals sometimes have complex problems, one of which is the lack of clean water. The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of clean water needed for patients, employees, and visitors at the YK Madira General Hospital, Palembang City, South Sumatra. The purpose of this study is to analyze the clean water needs of the YK Madira General Hospital, Palembang City, South Sumatra, in order to meet its clean water needs. The total clean water requirement at the YK Madira General Hospital, Palembang City is 49.335 liters/day or 49,33 m3/day. The total volume of the water tank that can be accommodated is 30.500 liters/day or 30,5 m3. The maximum daily water consumption is 44.850 liters/day and for peak hour water consumption is 5.606 liters/hour. The shortage of clean water is 18.835 liters/day ~ 18,83 m3.
