Abstract
Energy loss in clean water distribution systems is a significant problem in operational efficiency and water resource management. This study analyzes the technical aspects of the pipe network, bend angles, changes in cross-section, and energy loss due to friction in the Tirta mayang booster pump pipe in Jambi City. The results of the study indicate that the main factors causing energy loss in this distribution system are the length and diameter of the pipe that are not appropriate, the presence of high pressure drops at several distribution points due to friction in the pipe. Based on the results of the analysis of the total energy loss calculation, the largest energy loss is in the F- G section of 1.4235 meters, with a speed of 0.194 meters/second, while the lowest total energy loss is in the pipe section B to C of 0.0404 meters, with a speed of 0.704 meters/second.
