Abstract

Sungai Pinang Village is one of the villages located in Rambutan District, Banyuasin Regency. The need for clean water in Sungai Pinang Village is one of the very important needs for the surrounding community for daily needs. The distribution of clean water carried out by PDAM in Sungai Pinang Village only lasted for two (2) hours in one (1) day, where the water discharge in Sungai Pinang Village was 10 liters/second which was considered insufficient to meet the water needs of 9368 residents (2001 customers) in the village. In this study, the prediction of the increase in population and the increase in the number of customers in the served area was calculated using the arithmetic method, then the necessary clean water needs were analyzed. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the total need for clean water in 2024 was 14,26 liters/second and in 2028 it was needed as much as 16,17 liters/second. Therefore, it is necessary to re-analyze the discharge and the required water flow time. A simulation of additional discharge and discharge time of 20 liters/second with a water flow time of approximately 20 hours was carried out, or a water flow of 30 liters/second with a water flow time of approximately 13 hours, or a water flow of 40 liters/second with a water flow time of approximately 10 hours.
