Abstract

The problem of this study were formulated (1) what are the cultural values in "Peekay" movie? (2) How cultural values in "PK"movie related to Indonesian culture? The objective Of this study are (1) TO find out the cultural values in "PK"movie (2) To find out cultural values in "PK" movie related to Indonesian culture.The purpose of this study is to analyze the culture in the movie "Peekay". This movie is entertaining movie and Indian satirical science fiction comedy movie. This movie talks about an alien who comes to Earth on a research mission. To analyze the culture, the writer collected the data by watching the movie, listing the culture found, and analyzing them. This research is descriptive qualitative research, it means that it does not need statistic approach to explore the material. The data is taken from ' 'Peekay" movie and Indonesian people, other source is used to support and complete the data like website, article, etc. The results showed that there are many differences between Indonesian and Indian culture. It Starts with the living, eating, and social manner, togetherness, school and university lives, religion, parties and behavior. It really proves that culture really makes an identity which differ and put every part of area to be unique and have a characteristics.
