Abstract
Water is the most important substance in life after air. Water quality parameters in the fish farming process play a role in creating an environmental atmosphere for fish, so that the pond waters can provide a comfortable atmosphere for fish movement, namely the availability of sufficient water to create water quality that is in accordance with optimal fish life requirements (water chemistry, water physics, and water biology) according to the required parameters, the availability of sufficient and appropriate natural food, and 2 avoiding biota that are detrimental to the survival and development of fish (fish pests and diseases). The purpose of this study was to determine the right combination of feed for the growth of snakehead fish, to determine the water quality of snakehead fish farmers for the combination of snakehead fish feed, and to determine the effect of water quality on the growth of snakehead fish. This research method uses the filtration method, which is a process to remove suspended solids measured by turbidity from water through porous media. Filtration through porous media occurs by inhibiting particles into the pore space so that there is collection and accumulation of these particles on the surface of the media grains. The results of the research taken were the results of the growth in absolute weight and length of snakehead fish, namely the lowest weight in P3 (4.57 g) and the highest in treatment P2 (5.24 g). The relative weight and length growth rates, namely the lowest total length value in treatment P1 (3.47%) and the highest in treatment P4 (4.88%). The lowest value for weight was in treatment P3 (5.08%) and the highest was in treatment P2 (5.83%). The lowest survival rate for snakehead fish was in treatment P2 (65%) and the highest was in treatment P3 (80%). The FCR value was the lowest (1.33-2.14) while the P4 treatment had the highest FCR value (1.76-2.85). Water quality The lowest temperature was in treatment P4 (28-31.3oC) and the highest was in treatment P1 (27.5-32.9oC). The lowest dissolved oxygen (DO) levels were in treatment P3 (1.1-14.5 mg/l) and the highest in treatment P1 (2.9-27.8 mg/l). The lowest pH was in treatment P2 (6.5-8.9) and the highest in treatment P1 (5.5-9.66). Good feed is included in P4 because it contains maggots (80%) + industrial feed (20%).
