Abstract

The objective ot the research there is a correlation between grammar mastery and writing ability of the tenth grade students of SMAN 3 Banyuasin III the method used in this research was correlation study the population of this research was the tenth grade students of SMAN 3 Banyuasin III in the academic years 2023/2024 with the total number of the students were 30 the sampling technique was purposive sampling technique the samples 30 were 30 students the result of the test was analyzed bu using statistical package for social science ( SPSS 24.0 for windows).it shows taht the correlation value is 0,133 and the degree of freedom (Df) is 30 there result of this research was the score of r 0,133 the table r product moment shows that the correlatin value is on the very low size in which between 0.00-0.20 it can be sum up that there is low significat correlation between grammar mastery and writing ability of the tenth grade students of SMAN 3 Banyuasin III
