Abstract

ABSTRAK Otitis Media Akut (OMA) didefinisikan sebagai peradangan pada telinga tengah yang terjadi secara singkat dalam waktu  3 minggu. Salah satu faktor risiko OMA yaitu usia dan status gizi. OMA merupakan penyakit yang paling sering menyerang anak-anak. Penyakit ini dapat mengakibatkan masalah bicara dan bahasa, serta keterlambatan akademik yang berdampak buruk pada kualitas hidup anak-anak, meskipun beberapa kasus OMA sembuh dengan sendirinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara usia dan status gizi dengan kejadian OMA pada pasien anak di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Palembang BARI. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Data didapatkan dari 30 rekam medis pasien anak dengan keluhan gangguan telinga di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Palembang BARI periode Oktober 2021 – Oktober 2023. Data dianalisis dengan uji Chi-Square dengan tingkat kemaknaan 95%. Hasil analisis bivariat didapatkan nilai p = 0,007 untuk hubungan antara usia dengan kejadian OMA dan nilai p = 0,053 untuk hubungan antara status gizi dengan kejadian OMA. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara usia dan kejadian OMA sedangkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara status gizi dan kejadian OMA. Kata kunci : Otitis Media Akut, Usia, Status Gizi ABSTRACT Acute Otitis Media (OMA) is defined as inflammation of the middle ear that occurs briefly within  3 weeks. One of the risk factors for AOM is age and nutritional status. AOM is a disease that most often attacks children. This disease can cause speech and language problems, as well as academic delays which have a negative impact on children's quality of life, although some cases of AOM resolve on their own. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between age and nutritional status and the incidence of AOM in pediatric patients at the Palembang BARI Regional General Hospital (RSUD). This type of research is analytical observational with a cross sectional research design. Data was obtained from 30 medical records of pediatric patients with complaints of ear problems at the Palembang BARI Regional General Hospital (RSUD) for the period October 2021 – October 2023. The data was analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of 95%. The results of the bivariate analysis showed a p value = 0.007 for the relationship between age and the incidence of AOM and a value of p = 0.053 for the relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of AOM. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between age and the incidence of AOM, while there is no significant relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of AOM.
