Abstract

ARIE WIJAYA Effect of Pruning Apical Shoots with Goat Urine POC Doses on Growth and Yield of Purple Eggplant (Solanum melongena L) under guidance from NURBAITI AMIR and BERLIANA PALMASARI This research was carried out in one of the farmers' fields at JL. Ades Manis Kebun Bunga, District Sukarame, Palembang City, South Sumatra Province. The time of the research will be carried out from July to August 2023. This research uses the experimental method with a Split-plot design consisting of 9 treatment combinations which are repeated 3 times, so there are 27 experimental units. With 2 factors, factor 1 was pruning shoots (P0 = control), (P1 = pruning shoots at 20 hst), (P2 = pruning shoots at 30 hst) factor 2 was the dose of poc goat urine (K1 = 150 ml/plant), (K2 = 300 ml/plant) and (K3 = 450ml/plant). From the results of the research, the best pruning at 20 hst had a good effect on the variables of plant height, number of leaves and fruit weight of the plants, the results of the treatment of the goat urine poc dose of 300 ml/plant had the best effect on the observed variables of plant height and fruit weight per plot. The interaction between pruning apical shoots and poc doses of goat urine had no significant effect on the variables observed, but had a significant effect on fruit weight per plot, which produces 1765.67 kg of eggplant per plot equivalent to 176567 tons/ha
