Abstract

Analysis of road damage that occurred on the road from SP Padang District to Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency with a length of 19.218 km and a width of 4,5 M is a very complex problem and the losses suffered are enormous, especially for road users, such as the occurrence of long travel times, congestion, traffic accidents, and others. These individual losses will be the accumulation of global economic losses for the region. The purpose of this study is to determine the types of damage to flexible pavements that exist in the SP Padang sub-district to Pampangan sub-district, Ogan Komering Ilir district. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors causing damage to flexible pavement and to calculate the increase in flexible pavement for highways. Based on the results of field analysis, the types of damage that exist on this road are fine cracks 6.55% crocodile skin cracks 8.79% edge cracks 8.31% potholes 16.42% grain release 9.42% surface layer peeling 11, 21% collapsed 7.44% which was caused by the increase in the volume of vehicles loaded with rubber, palm oil and oil that would be brought to the factory and also on this section there were no drainage canals on each segment, and the thickness of the pavement was not optimal.
