Abstract

Intersections are a part that must be considered in order to smooth the flow of transportation in urban areas because the existence of intersections is unavoidable in the urban transportation system. The existence of intersections must be managed carefully so that a good simoang is obtained. Intersection with regulation and control of traffic flow movement. Traffic jams at the Tegal Binangun signalized intersection cannot be avoided, especially at intersection points both on main roads and on small roads. This traffic jam causes stress and depression for road users and increases city air pollution, thus reducing the quality of health. The types of data used for analysis purposes are primary data and secondary data. As for Indonesia (MKJI 1997). For this reason, the author took the title "EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE TEGAL BINANGUN SIGNIFICANT junction, BANYUASIN REGENCY, SELATAN SUMATRA" to determine whether the existence of the traffic light at the intersection is effective.
