Abstract

Parking is a condition that does not move a vehicle in a certain place that is temporary. The need for parking space for four-wheeled vehicles and motorbikes is very important because these needs are very different and vary depending on the shape and characteristics of each vehicle and parking location. The parking area is an area in an area that utilizes the road as a vehicle facility and there is parking control through the entrance. This research was conducted in the parking lot area of Plaza Telkom telecommunication service provider Jl. Merdeka no. 05 Palembang. Telkom was founded in 1961, the Government of Indonesia established the State Enterprise for Post and Telecommunications (PN Postel). PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) engaged in information and communication technology (ICT) services and telecommunications networks in Indonesia. This research was conducted in its branch, namely in the parking area of the Plasa Telkom telecommunication service provider area, Jl. Merdeka no. 05 Palembang. Based on this research, it was carried out with the stages of analyzing the area of the parking area, as well as the number of parked vehicles. From the results of data processing, it can be concluded that the largest volume of cars occurred on Thursday 14 July 2022 with a total of 92 vehicles. The largest volume of motorbikes occurred on Friday 15 July 2022 with a total of 162 vehicles. With a parking pattern of 60⁰ for motorbikes and 60⁰ for cars. The availability of parking capacity for motorbikes is 65 and the capacity for cars is 15 so that there is a shortage of capacity for 8 motorbikes and 2 cars which is concluded from the calculation of the largest accumulation.
