Abstract
ABSTRACT Geologically, Indonesia is located between 4 of the world's main active plates, namely the Pacific plate, the Indo-Australian plate, the Eurasian plate and the Philippine plate. Therefore Indonesia is included in the Pacific ring of fire or what is commonly called the Pacific Ring of Fire, which means it is an area prone to earthquakes. In overcoming the problem of collapse due to earthquake loads, the use of shear wall structures serves to stiffen buildings, so as to minimize or reduce the impact of damage to multi-storey building structures and reduce casualties. The analytical method used is the response spectrum analysis method and equivalent static analysis by modeling 7 models of building structures namely, 1 model of frame structure and 6 models of building structures with variations in the placement of shear walls using the ETABS program. The results of the analysis show that the shearwall model 6 produces a minimum floor drift value for the x direction of 24,944 mm while for the y direction it is 31,819 mm, the minimum drift ratio value for the x direction is 0,62% while for the y direction it is 0,80 %, the minimum stability coefficient (p-delta) value for the x direction is 0,0125 while for the y direction it is 0,0162 and the displacement value generated by the structure using shearwall model 6 has a relatively smaller displacement value of 2,953 mm in the x direction and 3,778 mm in the y direction, the recommended shearwall model in this structure planning is the shearwall model 6, because it produces relatively small floor drift, stability and displacement coefficients. Keywords : Earthquake load, story drift, p-delta, drift ratio, displacement.
