Abstract
In Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency, especially in the Talang Ubi District area with an area of 648.40 KM² (Source: Central Bureau of Statistics of PALI Regency in figures 2019). The community uses the regional drinking water company (PDAM) Tirta PALI Anugerah to meet their daily needs for clean water. PDAM Tirta PALI Anugerah utilizes water sources from the Lematang River through several boosters 41 KM away to flow to PDAM customers in Talang Ubi District. In Talang Ubi District, it divides several clean water drainage areas which consist of several drainage zones. This research was conducted at PDAM Tirta PALI Anugrah from Booster Golf to the Bukit Tudung and Talang Baru areas. The purpose of this study is to determine the energy loss at each bend of the pipe, energy loss due to pipe friction, energy loss due to changes in cross section and energy loss due to elevation or height difference. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, the total loss of energy due to bends in the pipe (hb), energy loss due to friction in the pipe (hf), energy loss due to reduction of the section (hm) the largest value is at point A to B on the 12” pipe of 13.087108 m with a speed of 1.64925 m/s and the smallest value is at point L to N on the 6” pipe of 0.000004 m with a speed of 0.00086 m/s. At the value of energy loss due to elevation or height difference, the greatest pressure is at point O towards A on the 12” pipe of 71380.12 kg/m² and the smallest value is at point F towards G on the 2” pipe of 39388.17 kg/m².
