Abstract

In this study using an electric motor with a capacity of 220 volts, 2.36 Ampere, 0.18 kW and 1400 rpm. the use of this motorbike at affordable prices and efficient results and can increase production results continuously. From the results of the problems faced by cassava sawut entrepreneurs, it can be used as research material to analyze or modify the manufacture of cassava chopping machines with a production capacity of 100 kg/hour. The advantage of this machine from machines on the market is that the cassava peeling process can be adjusted in speed through a dimmer as desired. The initial procedure is carried out when designing/assembling the cassava sawdust machine so that the work of this tool system can work properly, which is where this planning begins with collecting field data, then being able to find out how the machine works. from PLN, but this sawut machine is equipped with electronic components, namely a dimmer as a motor speed regulator. In the no-load test the motor rotation with the dimmer setting for the first 5 minutes produces 1300 rpm rotation, and the second step is 1425 rpm, the third step is 1489 rpm, the second step is 1489 rpm, the second step is 1489 rpm. the fourth step is 1492 rpm and the last step is 1496 rpm. In the load test there is a decrease in the rotation of the motor in the first step 1300 rpm, the second step 1300 rpm, the third step 1464 rpm, the third step 1480 rpm and the fifth step 1485 rpm. Universal motor rotation will be stable above 1000 rpm The induction motor can work with a speed controller, by producing the smallest final rotation of 1300 rpm until the 5th test, the resulting rotational speed is 1485 rpm. In other words the engine continues to increase its rotational speed along with the increase in the step dimmer, with this it can be proven that the motor is working properly. This induction motor is effective if used for cassava sawut machines because it has high torque and a stable rotation speed which will make the motor last for a long time in use.
