Abstract

ABSTRAK Rainfall data is needed for engineering planning, especially in water structures such as urban drainage, dams, irrigation, ports, docks, and so on. The recording of rainfall data is carried out in the catchment area of rainwater that will flow into the river in question or called the Watershed (DAS), so annual rainfall data is required. Ogan Komering Ilir Regency is one of the regencies in South Sumatra Province which is located between 104°, 20' and 106°, 00' East Longitude and 2°, 30' to 4°, 15' South Longitude with an area of ±17,282, 173 Km2. Administratively, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency consists of 18 sub-districts, 13 sub-districts and 302 villages. In this study, the authors calculated the average rainfall in the Ogan Komering Ilir area using the Algebraic Average method, the Thiessen Polygon method, and the Isohyet method. The average rainfall obtained using the algebraic average method, the Thiessen polygon method and the isohyet method, the average rainfall in Ogan Komering Ilir district in 2016 was 255,136 mm, in 2017 it was 272,583 mm, in 2018 it was 206,739 mm, in 2019 it was 164,417, and in 2020 it was 252.125mm. The three methods were re-averaged, and the monthly rainfall results from 2016-2020 were obtained, for the algebraic average method was 230,800 mm, for the Thiessen polygon method it was 225,561 mm, and for the ishoyet method it was 231,240 mm. The value of the adjacent difference of the three methods is the Algebraic Mean and Isohyet method. Keywords : Rainfall data, Algebraic Average method, Thiessen Polygon method, and Isohyet method.
